OOTD: Matching with the weather

27th January 2015 // 2pm // 18°C // Light showers and broken clouds

And yet again, we have Sydney's ever fluctuating weather working its not-so-great magic. So last week, a few light showers washed up the streets of Sydney and I thought, why not take advantage and do an OOTD that literally matches the weather.

And yes. Please don't question my choice of location - desperate times call for desperate measures. I chose Kimber Lane, Chinatown because my blog would most certainly NOT be complete without a having a photo shoot there. But in all seriousness, I really thought that the blue complemented my outfit and the weather nicely, and not to mention, this mural actually brings upon a much more diverse meaning then you would've thought. In Between Two Worlds by artist Jason Wing references to both the Chinese and Aboriginal culture by integrating elements from both while creating a non-discriminative display for everyone to enjoy. How lovely.

Despite the rain, I did have quite a bit of fun creating this breezy mid-summer cosy, winter-esque outfit. I went for the darker shades to match with the not-so-warm weather, meanwhile also spicing up the outfit a little by adding a bit of glitz with my flash tattoo and metallic-toned jewellery (just so I don't look too dull). I also did a bit of brand matching with my Oroton pieces so that each item complemented the next - completing the outfit as a whole. Oh and yes, that is indeed a Kookai bag you see. I sorta went shopping before I spared some time to take these photos. Haha. I must say, quite typical of me.

 .: Cropped Top - Dotti // Jeans - Billabong // Cardigan - Jay Jays // Shoes - Lipstik Shoe's Eamon Boot // Necklace - H&M // Watch - Marc by Marc Jacobs // Bag - Oroton // Rings - Colette // Umbrella - Oroton  :.

And voila, another delayed post finally written up! Hope y'all enjoyed it, thanks for reading lovers x

  31. The meaning behind the mural is lovely! I wish the Chinatown in New York was as nice - it's SO crowded over here. Your bag is very interesting too, at first I thought it said Toronto, then Torn, then Tonooro (???).

    1. Aw you're so cute haha! I think Oroton is an Australian brand so thats probs why it wasn't that recognisable. Chinatown here is actually really crowed too, but I went to one of the alleyways to take these photos hence the empty space! xx
