Shades of cool: Hair by Amaya Review

Hey lovers!

Whilst the cooler days and winter nights were fast approaching, I thought it would be perf to make the most of this opportunity to match my hair with the weather. As you all know I've been into the balayage trend for quite a while now, and so you probably would've guess it by now - yep, I did opt for another balayage session.

And of course, I went back to the amazing Amaya - what more can I say, maybe I'll just let the photos do the talking.

Hair by Hair by Amaya

This time round, instead of sticking to the honey brown/ blonde colour, I went for a much for ash tone. Originally, I was hoping to go white/silver but that was not achievable unless I had another third or fourth session so instead I had two sessions and went ash brown/grey instead.
Seven hours later.
I had indeed transitioned from warm tones to much cooler ash tones. The process was definitely time consuming but anyone would agree that it was well worth its time. Well tbh I didn't think my hair was that ratchet before, but the photo shows otherwise, so I guess it was a good time to have my balayage touched up. Amaya and her team (i.e. Nick) were really patient and professional. Not only were the results stunning (as per usual), but they also kept me well entertained during the seven long hours. In fact, it felt like a catch up session with a friend you haven't seen in ages so in reality the seven hours really only felt like two.

Can I just say - Amaya blends the colours like magic. No exaggeration whatsoever. See for yourself and just take a look at the end results - now thats what I call the art of hair colouring! Whether it be a touch up on my balayage or a full head colour - I know I'll definitely be back. For some more hair transformations, be sure to check out her Instagram and Facebook page!

Oh and also, notice how my hair changes in different environments - my hair is pretty much a different colour every day. Depending on the lighting, i.e. natural or artificial, the tones of my hair begin to slightly differ. On some days, the grey tones are more prominent, and on others, my hair is just a million shades of blonde // so yes, I wouldn't be surprised if you can't exactly pinpoint the colour of my hair. Anyhow, hope y'all enjoyed reading my long overdue post!
